I just had my 32nd birthday yesterday so, thanks to my friend Melissa, I decided to take my RealAge test. I'm really...25.9! I think I could have been younger because I didn't take my resting heart rate correctly. I would suggest going to the site realage.com it's a pretty interesting test.
As for my day, I had a great day filled with lots of calls and emails from my family and friends. Matt and I worked out and then I got showered with beautiful dresses from some of my favorite stores and went jeans hunting. That was interesting. I got to take a night off from cooking and cleaning and that was the end of a perfect day.

A Beautiful Gift
My grandmother had this quilt made for Carson and it came out just perfect! The lady who made it did a great job. The picture doesn't really do it justice and it even has some Denver Broncos patches on it. Here is my cute grandmother...
All of the grandkids like to tease each other about being her favorite for all the various reasons. Now I can claim she loves me more because she loves my son the most! However, I really think she loves us all for our own unique abilities. One of the things I love most about her is that she has a gift of making you feel like you are her favorite every time you are with her. Thanks Grandma. I love you!

Happy Birthday Kendall
Our "baby" is 4 today. She was born on Mexican Independence Day but when I was pregnant with her we liked to refer to it as Kendall Independence Day since I was finally induced. Here are some things that make Kendall who she is:
1. She loves to just be at home with her family.
2. She has never let size matter. She is by far our bitty baby of the pack but is definitely the most brave. We will often hear her sticking up for her bigger sister when they are playing with other children. She will try anything exciting at least once usually.
3. She has the most infectious laugh. She can get a whole room of strangers going if they hear her.
4. She is polite, even when she is defying you. Right now her favorite response is "No Fhanks" when you are asking her to do something for you.
5. She loves to pray and I learn so much from her when she does! She is always the first to volunteer in any situation.
6. She has the most beautiful head of hair. She has so much that I've often considered letting it grow a little more and then donating it but want it to be her choice.
7. She has a quick wit about her. She'll surprise you with her humor on a daily basis.
8. She is easy to please.
I could go on and on but just wanted to give you some of her highlights. Happy Birthday Kendall! Your family loves you so much! Look how much you have grown...

Missing my friends

My old (especially now that she is 30) talented, dear friend Jaime made the drive from Rochester to East Amherst just to host a Scentsy (http://www.scentsy.com/jmitchell) candle party for me. This is just one of her many talents. She is an amazing photographer. She took the above picture of Carson. She is one of the craftiest girls I know. She can also run and play tennis like no other. Seeing her reminded me of how talented all my friends are. I could go on and on about all the things I have learned from them. They definitely inspire me to get more done in my day! Tonight makes me miss the good old days when all of us girls(all 10+ of us) lived in the same city and would make weekly excuses to get together and celebrate each others lives. Thanks for making the drive Jaime. I had so much fun!

Gerber Baby
First let me just say I'm in love with the video recorder feature on my camera right now. Can't you tell? This is what Carson does now most of the time while he is waiting for food. I think it's because his top teeth have cracked and he is trying to feel them. It is the cutest thing. Don't you think he would be great in a Gerber commercial? I love my boy... (don't forget to pause the music for the full effect)

Please send help! Or at least some boy stuff...
I knew this would start to happen sooner or later. The girls have officially found it entertaining to dress up Carson. The only reason he is smiling in this video is because I'm talking to him. If they have him cornered he is usually screaming for help.

First Day of School
School is back, Yeah!!!! Yesterday was the first day of school and all went well. Nobody cried and they both came ready to go back today. Kendall will be going to preschool everyday this year and Jayden is a big 2nd grader. I'm secretly sad though that my two little buddies won't be here to shower me with the constant "Mom, she's doing... to me!" or "Mom, I'm hungry!" or "Mom, she just hit me!" or "Mom, I'm bored". I could probably go on forever with the constant requests and complaints. Seriously I will miss them.

Goodbye to Summer Break and My Hair
We had such a great summer as a family. We got to go to the beach, the local county fair, spend time with family visitors and hang out with friends. It was so eventful considering it was our first year here and we have a baby. I was pretty proud that I even went to the completely packed local pool by myself with 3 kids. Carson also made his first friend. His name is Mark and he is 14 months old. He loves to hug Carson all the time. They really play well together considering their ages.

I also decided to go for the big change and chop off all my hair. I cut it about 3 weeks ago. I don't think I have ever had it this short before. I like it but don't think I'll do it again.
